Just in case Mrs Gumley Mason is contemplating legal action to try and close this site down, I have taken measures to combat this. I have backups securely stored and I have made arrangements so that the blog can be republished within hours (including all comments) on another domain.
In the unlikely event that you return to this blog and find it gone, just do a websearch for some of the key phrases you remember from the blog, and you will soon find its replacement. While the blog will be there, it might take a day or two for the major search engines to index it, so keep searching. Alternatively, send me an email to jonathanwest22@googlemail.com to ask for the new location.
For obvious reasons I'm not going to say now where the backup location is.
Blogs are like mushrooms, they spring up overnight.

Blogs may be exactly like mushrooms but the problem is that you have the power what to publish and what not to publish. For example, you may choose to not publish this comment:
ReplyDelete"Mrs G-M is a wonderful headmistress of a wonderful school"
On the other hand, I may choose to publish it.
ReplyDeleteAnd then I'll leave it to readers to decide whether they believe it.
11.46 all media outlets retain editorial rights. Please name one that does not.
ReplyDeleteAnyone commenting on child abuse particularly, and safeguarding matters generally has to be very careful, even more so when criminal proceedings are taking place. This site is principally about two schools with former teachers from one of them appearing in court in July.
So once again - the point you are attempting to make is?
The point I am try to make is that Mr West has to publish everything that people send, otherwise the blog becomes one-sided. That's the beauty of blogs, anyone can say anything, it's the perfect manifestation of free speech.
ReplyDeleteI wish there was another set of criminal proceedings going on which would put you in prison for many years. The charge: one sided blogging and being a complete w****r.
ReplyDeleteMrs GM, it wouldn't help you even if there were :-)
ReplyDeleteThere you go again, anyone who supports Mrs G-M suddenly has to be Mrs G-M. It's all in your head, you tosser.
ReplyDeleteLanguage please! Just think of all the pupils reading the blog. You must set a good example!
ReplyDeleteWell I guess Mrs Gumley-Mason has a similar oppinion of the ISI report.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you say Mrs Gumley-Mason - did they get it wrong? Is their report all one sided rubbish?
Why isn't Father Gregory still head of St Augustine's board of governors?
ReplyDeleteI do hope there wasn't some sort of scandal.
Oh dear, Mr West have you ruffled a few feathers. It looks pretty obvious to most that this is either Mrs G-M or Mr G-M as they have no other supporters. Would they care not to use such foul language and remember these blogs are the truth and opinions of very disillusioned parents.
ReplyDelete'It's all in your head, you tosser.' (@13.10)
ReplyDeleteWhere has all the confidence, love and self esteem gone?
No - I am sorry to have to correct you 13.10 - it is mostly in the ISI report rather than Mr West’s head, and then such was the desire of the St Augustine’s administration to have the report rewritten that they had to set it all out in greater detail for us in the grounds document filed with the High Court.
I hope this helps.
.
ReplyDelete13.55 I think the GM's do have some supporters who mostly posses the dispostion of Labradors. You notice them because they don't bark, they don't bite, they are compliant, biddable, and enjoy having their heads patted.
Oh, and you wouldn't want to employ one.
Sorry to disappoint, this FANTASTIC BLOG is much appreciated and praise of Mr West is the talk of St Augustines. My girls and their friends were discussing the merits of the ISI Blogs, and agreed with all negative comments made. They wanted to add their own as they dislike G M so much and the way you run YOUR school. I feel it is paramount for children to express themselves, what a shame they can not do this at school. Mrs Gumley-Mason open your eyes you are very much despised. Along with the MAJORITY of parents you should resign, you are bringing the school into disrepute.
ReplyDeleteRather presumptuous to declare what the majority of parents think. Most of the parents I have spoken with think the bulk of this blog is utter bile, with very little truth behind it. And no, I am not Mrs Gumley-Mason.
ReplyDelete15:02, that's not all that constructive a comment. I don't mind being called names, or my blog being called "utter bile", but that tells people more about you than about the situation.
ReplyDeleteI woud be far more interested in you telling me where you think I have any facts wrong. Let's base our opinions on the facts.
14.40 - please do make sure you and the other parents speak at the meeting on Friday - without you speaking nothing will change rest assured.
ReplyDeleteMr West's blog has brought facts to your attention, and provides a platform to debate and share opinion. But it can do no more than that.
Change is in your hands.
15.02 - 'Most of the parents I have spoken with think the bulk of this blog is utter bile, with very little truth behind it.'
ReplyDeleteThen you are in denial given the ISI report and the High Court documents.
If you consider name-calling and innuendo about child abuse where it hasn't happened "fact", well then, that says about all we need to know about you and the other people who post on this blog. (Or ARE there other people posting?!)
ReplyDeleteThe facts that I've stated are really very simple. I've converted the criticisms that exist in the ISI report into everyday language. They aren't my facts, they are what the ISI has reported - or is the ISI engaging in innuendo?
ReplyDeleteIf you think what I have written about the content of the ISI report is wrong, or goes further than the wording of the report itself would reasonably justify, then I'd be perfectly happy to discuss that with you, and to change my mind about what I have said if that is what the evidence suggests.
I would be happy to have such a conversation in person with Mrs Gumley Mason herself if she wished to have it.
So, if you think I have been engaging in innuendo, please offer a specific example so we can discuss it.
