Where was the report?

In the Headmistress' letter to parents on7th July 2010, Mrs Gumley Mason wrote the following.
Where is it?

I have delayed writing this letter to you in the hope that we would be in receipt of the ISI report.  It has yet to materialise. When it does, the School will have the chance to correct factual inaccuracies and it will then go back to ISI for amendments and final editing and then be returned to us when we will have a fortnight within which to make it available to all parents
Well, I can tell you where the report was. It was on her desk. The first draft of the report was sent to the school on 24th May, and Mrs Gumley Mason had already made comments to the ISI about "factual inaccuracies" in the report. By the time the letter to parents was written, there had already been quite extensive phone calls and correspondence between the school and the ISI, in the course of which the ISI notified the school that further information about safeguarding at the school had been received and that it was being discussed with the DfE and safeguarding agencies.

  1. "Factual inaccuracies" indeed.

  2. Why are the governors and trustees not sacking this proven liar?
She obviously is not fit to hold the post of headmistress any longer.
The amount of lies, deceptions and coverups is unacceptable. All for the sake of 1 persons pride.
Come on governors ans trustees you must see the truth by now. SACK HER NOW before more unwelcome truths come out to damage the school's reputation further. At least you will have been seen to act, the longer you leave this, the more stupid and ineffectual you appear.

  3. The Governors and trustees are without cojones and clearly could not run a bath!

But the site of the tail wagging the dog is vomit inducing.

  5. I cannot quite understand the part the Governors have in all this.

Are they complicit in untruthfulness of Mrs Gumley Mason’s letter of the 7th July10 to parents, or are they so detached from anything that represents ‘control’ and understanding of what is happening at the school that they were ignorant of the truth?

The Governors are in something of a Morton’s fork.

Please may we have an answer Professor Hemmingway.

  6. Don't hold your breath, know one tells the truth they think they are untouchable. The sad truth is that they lie and get away with it as they are answerable to know one.

  7. Lets all hold our fees back, untill they take action, this has to stop.

  8. We can hold our fees back , she will expel our girls and tell us if we don't like it leave as there are plenty of girls supposedly waiting for a space! You cannot win you are not dealing with a rational person.

  9. Concerning fees, if you act individually, you can be picked off individually. But if a group of parents were to take collective action, then you couldn't be picked off in the same way.

They couldn't expel 20 or 30 girls all at once over such a thing - and just think what bad publicity in the local press would be generated by any attempt by the school to expel so many girls at once.

So you as parents need to get organised if you want to get anything done.

  10. Even that such things as witholding fees are being discussed, in an attempt get to the truth, shows that matters have gone beyond belief.
TRUSTEES AND GOVERNORS - DO THE JOB YOU SIGNED UP FOR AND TAKE ACTION NOW. HOW CAN YOU ALLOW THE SCHOOL TO BE DRAGGED DOWN SUCH ROUTES BY THE HEADMISTRESS. YOU SHOULD ALL BE UTTERLY ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES.
We know that the trustees and governors read this blog - so why oh why are you not taking action?

  11. The governors have decided to do nothing - they think this is four or maybe five grumblers at most. Little do they understand the extent to which parents are unhappy, and the infection is spreading.

  12. The governors actually need to start doing thier jobs, but this highly unlikely to happen as they have been hnd picked by the head, and obviously she manipulates them like she has us parents for years.
